Let’s Build Projects that Care

La Casa Roja develops and participates in European, international and social impact projects that bring women’s health, embodied approaches and participatory methodologies into communities and contexts

Through European projects and partnerships, we want to experiment with something that remains too rare: bringing the body into spaces where social change is usually discussed only through words.

We are particularly interested in projects exploring:

  • Women’s health and bodily autonomy
  • Menstrual health, perimenopause and menopause
  • Gender-based violence, boundaries and prevention
  • Women’s participation, voice and agency
  • Embodied and trauma-informed approaches
  • Care and collective wellbeing
  • Gender equality and social innovation

Our work bridges personal transformation and social impact, because sustainable change begins in the body and expands into communities.

La Casa Roja is a non-profit association based in Barcelona.
We are actively building partnerships and applying for European and public funding to grow our research, our community programmes and
our impact projects.

Our projects

Youth Activism for Equality, Personal and Planetary Health (YAP)

Erasmus+ KA210 – Small-scale Partnership in Youth

Erasmus+ project YAP – Youth Activism for Equality, Personal and Planetary Health, coordinated by Plàudite Teatre (Spain) in partnership with PELE (Portugal).

One of the main outputs of the project, the toolkit combines participatory action research, community knowledge creation and embodied learning to explore the connections between gender equality, wellbeing, menstrual health, ecofeminism and environmental sustainability.

Rather than offering a traditional curriculum, the toolkit invites participants on a spiral journey that begins with the body, expands into collective care, creativity and civic engagement, and returns to reflection and rest.

It includes practical activities, facilitation guidance and creative methodologies that can be adapted by schools, youth organisations, NGOs and community groups.

The toolkit was developed after facilitating workshops with young people in Spain and Portugal. As external expert, Anna Lucía Pinto, La Casa Roja founder, co-designed and co-facilitated:

  • The training workshop “The Meaning of Living Cyclically”, focused on menstrual health, sustainability and embodied wellbeing.
  • School-based workshops integrating menstrual education, ecofeminism and restorative yoga practices.

Her contribution integrates:

  • Scientific knowledge on menstrual and hormonal health
  • Gender-aware pedagogy of care
  • Yoga, breathwork and nervous system regulation
  • Participatory and embodied facilitation methods.
  • Author of the toolkit “Cycle of care” to support young people in exploring the connections between well-being, gender equality and environmental sustainability from en ecofeminism pe.
